OUR CURRENT RESEARCH
Contaminant Cycling in Agricultural Watersheds
Our research explores how organic and inorganic contaminants enter and cycle through agricultural ecosystems. Projects include exploring how land use change, crop type, and management practices influence contaminant cycling, carbon quality, and water chemistry.

Optical and Molecular Properties of Dissolved Organic Matter in Freshwater Ecosystems
Using traditional and cutting edge mass spectrometry instrumentation, our group aims to build optical and molecular frameworks for how organic matter is processed and transformed in freshwater ecosystems.
Microbial Omics-based studies
We examine how microorganisms respond to environmental contaminants in the hopes of identifying new molecules of resistance for bioremediation technologies.
